This policy explains what Alineana collects on alineana.com and in the Alineana iOS app, and what we do with it.
Who we are
Alineana publishes this website and the Alineana iPhone app. The app reads a photo of a stock chart. It does not place trades and it does not connect to a brokerage.

The website
If you join the launch list, we collect the email address you submit and the time you submit it. We use that address to tell you when the iOS app is available and to send product updates you can stop at any time.
The host of this website may keep ordinary server logs, including IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. We use those logs to keep the site secure and to see that it is working.
The iOS app
When the app is available, you can submit a photo or a screenshot of a stock chart. We receive the image you choose to submit. From it we produce a pattern and trend read, a written analysis, and a recommendation. The app also shows market-moving news and the impact of each topic.
We do not ask you to connect a brokerage account.
Chart images
A chart image is processed to produce the analysis you asked for. We do not sell chart images. We do not use them to advertise other companies.
How we use information
We use personal information to run the launch list, to produce an analysis you request, to show market news, and to protect the website and the app.
How long we keep it
We keep a launch-list email until you remove it or ask us to delete it. We keep a chart image only as long as needed to produce the analysis you requested, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.
Your choices
You can leave the launch list from the confirmation on this website after you sign up, or from the link in any update we send. You can ask what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by writing to privacy@alineana.com.
Children
Alineana is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, write to privacy@alineana.com and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will post the new version on this page and change the date above.
